About Jared Hassan Foles
The Basics:
Jared is the owner of World Eater Recordings, NYC-a recording studio & post production house built and operated since 2000 in Brooklyn, NY, as well as its publishing arm, World Eater Music (ASCAP), and a division for live event production & support known as World Eater Recordings Presents.
Jared provides compositions & recordings, event production & management, audio & video production and post, marketing & advertising, graphic design, sound design, Foley/ADR, overdubs, professional consultations, and lightning guitar playing for a wide range of indie and major projects involving musicians, artists, bands, venues, films, museums, major corporations and non-profits for over 25 years.

- ADR recording engineer for Marvel Studios "What If?" series, currently airing on Disney+
- Sound editor for 2003 indie documentary "Afropunk" by James Spooner
- Project manager for: 2018 Intel Fast Company Conference featuring The Roots & DJ Qbert
- Sound Editor and 5.1 surround mixer for director EZ Stokes documentary "Conversations: The Black Radical Tradition"
- Sound editor and musical director for the short film “Milan’s First Day’, by director Laura Fielder
- Wrote, Produced, performed on and Directed both EP’s and music videos by NYC group The Sweet Fuzzy Itsy Bitsy, released in 2010 & 2012 on the World Eater Recordings label
- Served as marketing director for Sapphire Lounge-legendary NYC's House Music & DJ venue
- Worked as Senior Media Technician at the United Nations-working directly with foreign, heads of state, US gov't officials and performers, including Yo Yo Ma, US Secretary of State John Kerry, NY State First Lady Matilda Cuomo and others
- Producer and operator of World Eater Recordings Presents, booking performers & promoting club concerts at CBGB, M1-5 and Brooklyn's Sputnik, that were the precursor to "Afropunk".
- Recording & Mix engineer for NYHC legends Step2Far, False Step, & The Velveteen Jacket
- Recording & Mix engineer for seminal NYC Afropunk band Tallgrass
- Composer, Guitarist & Mix Engineer for band Shrine for the Black Madonna
